Why
The search for a dust nozzle that fits Makita 5007F yielded no results. Moreover, the diameter of my vacuum’s hose adapter is different from those I could find in a Canadian Home Depot. So, I decided to make my own nozzle.
Details
The nozzle fits a hose of Fein Turbo vacuums. Hose adapter portion is slightly tapered toward the back to create friction around the hose connector.
The dust port on the saw doesn’t have a hook of some kind to keep the nozzle in place. For this reason, I drilled a hole through the saw’s shroud and fixed the nozzle with a nut and bolt.
Here are internal dimensions of the nozzle’s port:
Part | Rear Port Diameter | Front Port Diameter | Port Length |
---|---|---|---|
Nozzle | 1.41 in (35.8 mm) | 1.43 in (36.3 mm) | 1.5 in (38.1 mm) |
